Site Description:2 small camping areas (4 vehicle units) located along the south side of Pine Lakes. Pine Lakes Trail popular with hikers and Mtn Bikers also starts and finishes by the site. Small boat and canoe access.

Driving Directions:From Terrace drive west along Highway 16. 200 m. West of the Kalum River turn North onto the first road (West Kalum forestry road). At 11.3 km. turn left and follow along road for approx. 800 m. where a short road leads to the right and to the trail.

How To Light A Fire Without Matches

Step 1.

Fluff the fatwood by scraping the stick with the edge of your striker. If a hunting knife is available, use the BACK of the blade to fluff.

Step 2.

Practice getting a spark to land on the pile of fluffed fatwood by using your ferro rod and the edge of your striker.

Step 3.

Direct the sparks to the top of the pile of fluffed fatwood by using your QUICK-FIRE and the edge of the Striker. (Or use the back of a blade)
