Helmcken Waterfalls can be viewed by heading to Wells Gray Provincial Park and turning off of Hwy #5 at Clearwater or turning off Hwy 97 at 100 Mile House and then heading towards Clearwater through Little Fort. Once you have entered the corridor areea – see pdf map here – watch for the Helmcken Rim Trail sign on the left.

The Helmcken Rim Trail is the best way to view the Helmcken Falls because you get to hike 4 km in and see part of the terrain around the falls before getting to the falls, if you are in a hurry then by vehicle watch for the paved turn off to the left (see Helmcken Falls on the map) and drive for 3 km, park and you are only about 50 meters from the Helmcken Falls Lookout pictured below.
