Muchalat Lake Camping

At Muchalat Lake there are 40 Campsites to enjoy and you should be able to get there with a Motorhome

Fees:$12.00 Camping

Fee Applies:May 18, 2012 – Sep 3, 2012 All Days

Facilities:Boat Launch, Tables, Toilets, Wharfs

Site Description:A large, open site at the east end of Muchalat Lake. It includes a boat ramp, dock, beach and swimming area, lots to see and do!

Driving Directions:From Gold River, take the Gold River mainline (gravel). As you approach the Village of Gold River via Hwy 28, head straight through the junction (don’t turn left into town). After crossing the river, you’ll come to a junction (gravel road). Turn right (head north) and follow the signs to Muchalat Lake Recreation Site.

    1. Thanks for dropping by Cecelia. Sorry to tell but yes, I checked with the British Columbia Ministry of Natural Resource Operations and they confirmed that the fee is $12 per night. Fee for overnight camping will take effect May 20, 2011. Host will be on site full-time in July and August.

  1. how many people per campsite? and will there be firewood and garbage pickup provided now that it is a provincial campsite?

    1. There is a garbage disposal bin and the camp host sells firewood. Lots of eagles. Great swimming from the dock.

  2. What a beautiful campsite, well worth the $12 fee. Excellent and friendly host on site. Very rustic, no services but clean outhouses and sites.
