Nepal is a small landlocked country in south Asia. Located in the
mighty Himalayas, Tibet (autonomous region of China) is to the north
and India to the east, west and south. It lies between 80/4′ to 88/12″
East Longitude and 26 12: to 30 37 North latitude. Nepal’s beautiful
landscape has been a blessing and has attracted a lot of visitors from
different parts of the world. It has an extreme variation in climatic
conditions and topography ranging from the highest peak Mt. Everest
(28029ft. above sea level) to Kachana southeast Nepal (150ft. above
the sea level.) There is no seasonal constraint on travelling in and
around Nepal. All seasons are equally good for traveling but Spring
and Autumn are the most rewarding ones. It has a total area of 147,181
sq. Km .
Nepal has four seasons: Spring March to May Summer June to August
Autumn September to November Winter December to February Clothing
depend on time and place, for summer in the Terai and Kathmandu, only
light clothes are needed. But in the winter the climate is cool and
thus warm clothing is advised.
