You can have a great picnic at Lebanon Lake on the Kettle Valley Railway. Coming from Kelowna, take Gillard Forest Service Road to the KVR intersection which is about 9km up the Gillard FSR and turn right (South) towards Chute Lake. You will see Lebanon Lake on the west side. It is several km down the KVR after you turn off of Gillard and if you like to spend a night there that would be fine as well since it is on crown land and you can camp for free on Canadian Crown Land.
