Monashee Mountain Range – Pinnacle Lake

Enjoy spectacular Monashee vista`s! This hike is a short hike but very steep. From trail head to Pinnacle Lake is about 1400 ft up! (430 meters).
Pinnacle Lake Directions: Take highway 6 east from Vernon through Lumby until you drive about 1 km past the Gold Pan Cafe and turn left at the first Forest Service Road –

GPS point for this turn off is; 50°10.998N 118°32.423W Elevation – 749 m

Follow the signs made by the Vernon Outdoors Club and park at a large grassy parking and camping area at this GPS point: 50°11.318N 118°17.551W Elevation 1450 m and then walk to the trail head which is just up the road a couple hundred meters.  If you have a vehicle with good clearance then drive to the Trail Head GPS point: 50°11.408N 118°17.323 Elevation 1486

From the Monashee`s Pinnacle Lake Trail Head you will be able to stroll around Pinnacle Lake and camp for free if you were brave enough to pack up your gear up the steep trail. The Free Pinnacle Lake Campsite is at this GPS point: 50°11.832N 118°15.497W Elevation 1881 m.
