CITO Event – Kelowna

Good morning everyone, thought some of you maybe interested in this event. It is for a great cause and gives you a chance to see what geocaching is all about. For me geocaching  has added a great deal of fun to the great outdoors and I really enjoy all the new places it has taken me. Here is an snippet of info from the website explaining everything, you do NOT have to be a member to join in. Those of you who didn’t know you may join bcgeocaching.com and / or geocaching.com for a no charge basic membership.

 A Cache in Trash Out event hosted by Mach2003 at Mill creek starting at the Parkinson Recreation Center

Saturday September 27th, 10:00 AM (tentative)

A Geocaching Event to give back to the community!

Cache In Trash Out is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community.
Since 2002, geocachers have been dedicated to cleaning up parks and other cache-friendly places around the world.
Through these volunteer efforts, we help preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources!” Geocaching.com.

This event is sponsored by the British Columbia Geocaching Association with the fantastic help of Mach2003…..

The group will meet at the Parkinson Rec Center and clean up down the creek.
Terrain rating of 1.5, as the creek is 1 meter below grade for the entire area.
Bring gloves, drinking water, and wear long pants and good shoes.
