Site Description: Lush growth towards the river valley of the Bow has created fantastic habitats for nesting songbirds. Tall balsam poplars and cottonwoods shelter nests of mourning doves, brown thrashers, eastern kingbirds and tree swallows. There are are six species of sparrow can be see in open areas or along the hillside. You may have the advantage to observe such aquatic mammals as the beaver and the muskrat on the river banks. You can also observe white-tailed and mule deer from the park’s hiking trails.
Driving Direction: Located on the Bow River about 35 min south east of Calgary and 4 km south of Carseland on highway 24.
