The Arena hosts a number of tournaments and other special events throughout its season, which runs from mid October to the end of March. Constructed in 1989. Wynyard’s fairways are slightly undulated and bordered in many places by mature trees. Additional trees are planted on an ongoing basis. Water is in play on two holes, with the 5th fairway being split in two by a nerve testing expanse of one of these hazards. The course is fully irrigated. Despite the trees and the water, your biggest challenge at Wynyard will be to avoid it’s numerous sand traps (22 in all) which make accuracy on your approach to the greens critical. Located adjacent to the Wynyard Swimming Pool, The Wynyard Paddling Pool is a heated outdoor pool for youngsters 8 and under. Play toys are provided and a lifegaurd is always on duty.
