Camping at Wragge Beach Kootenay Boundary is one of the prettiest beaches on Slocan Lake. A wide beach curves gently for several hundred meters in both directions and inviting beach walking. A rocky outcrop extends out into the lake & making a scenic shoreline. This recreation site is a folksy place for campsite for vacationing families (camping). The recreation lake offers good fishing, boating, swimming and board sailing. The wide sandy beach, sloping gently down to the water, is safe for youngsters and provides a perfect volleyball court or frisbee field.
From the junction of Highway 6 and 31A in New Denver: Travel north on Highway 6 for 15.2 km to Hills then turn left onto “Bonanza Road” and fllow the asphalt over the bridge now onto gravel at the beginning of the “Shannon Creek Forest Service Road” again turn right onto this road and just before the “3 km” road marker and take the right fork.
Within a kilometre the road will fork again and look for a brown 4×4 post with white lettering and signed “Wragge Beach Road” you see the left fork goes to Wragge Beach now follow this road for 1.3 km to a fork in the road now take the left fork. After 1.2 km the road will fork and take the left fork signed “Wragge Beach Road” for another 4 km.
