Site Description: West Canal – Brazeau Reservoir Provincial Rec Area has a fine nature trail driving to lookouts with various interpretive signs that elucidate the local wildlife and vegetation. Brazeau Reservoir is fantastic for power boating, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. You should be careful when power boating because there are some shallow spots and floating ruins can be a real risk here. The reservoir is man created for hydroelectricity and is approx 10 km length with the dam on the northeast end.
