  1. Hi, I was wondering about trying to reserve all 23 sites or at least 10, the weekend of July 26, – 28. My friend is getting married, and wanted to have a stag/staggett camping weekend. She loves your site, and suggested it, but i believe it is first come first serve. I wanted to hand out invites to do this, but not sure if I can get any support from you in reserving these sites. Please email me back and let me know. thanks so much,

    Tammy

    • Sounds like you are going to have an awesome weekend! There is not too much
that I can do other than try to warn people that there is going to be a
private party at Arlington and not to camp there on that weekend. If
possible, try to get your friends out to camp there on Thursday and
      reserve sites for you.

If you could get your friends to drive about 50 km on dirt road, you would
probably have a ton of fun, lots of room and beautiful scenery at Grizzly
lake. It would be less distance, more dirt road though but a real good time
guaranteed with no one around. The west side of Grizzly lake.

PS – Your friend is awesome – She must be to make such cool plans!!!! –
Send my congratulations – I will try to think of more ideas that will help.

  2. Hey Clayton,

I’m a little confused, Arlington Lakes is a Rec. site, and it’s managed, so a $12 per night fee applies… not free, unless something has changed there recently.

    Thanks,
    Stephen

  3. Hi Clayton; Is Archie still the camp attendant?? We called him but no answer. Can we get in to camp now or do we have to wait till May 1st.???????????

  4. Hi. We have about ten people cycling the KVR starting June 20th. Wondering from your experience what the likelihood is of being able to get a spot in that week. Does it get quite busy??

    Thanks
    Mark

  5. Hello Mark, being the incredibly nice recreation site that Arlington Lakes is, I suspect you can never guarantee an available site. However; you have plenty of crown land in that area with other ponds, lakes and streams very close by which means a makeshift free campsite, as long as you leave no trace, could be a very good option.

  6. just wondering if the lake is safe to swim in as we will be coming up there with kids. And is the fishing good

    thanks Mike

  7. Hi
We are wondering how big the campsites are at Arlington. We have a 30′ trailer and wondering if any of the sites are large enough?

    Colleen

  8. Greetings, yes the sites at Arlington Lakes are very spacious. If they are filled with campers, there are alternate sites that are also managed within the campground as you travel around the lake. It’s really nice.

  9. Arlington lake was very dirty campground washrooms were horrible and the camp host was a dick. (This is me being nice). Anyway we pulled out of there and went to Hydraulic lake just down the road. Very kid friendly and clean campground will definitely go back. Camp host was vary nice and let us do our own thing.
